Paula Harper

Paula Harper-Smith, Practice Manager

Paula is our practice manager and senior Dental assistant here at Goodna Family Dental and has been part of the team since opening in 2012.
Paula has 19 years’ experience as a Dental assistant working both in the UK and here in Australia.

Paula qualified in the UK in 2004 and was awarded the national certificate for Dental Nurses, graduating from Hull College.

Paula’s caring approach and warm nature ensures that all patients are made to feel welcome and at ease from the moment they walk through the practice doors until the moment they leave and prides the practice on all the staffs welcoming approach.

When not taking care of her 3 children, Paula likes to keep fit both running and at the gym.

Kevin Hou

Dr Kevin Hou, Principle Dentist

Dr. Kevin is the primary dentist here at Goodna Family Dental. Dr. Kevin graduated from Griffith University with awards for Academic Excellence in 2011. Since graduation Kevin has been working full time in private practice in Brisbane.

Kevin  works as a clinical supervisor, teaching dental students at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Kevin enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but is particularly interested in treating kids of all ages, working hard to ensure that your children will have strong and healthy teeth both now and in the future.

Kevin’s is a patient orientated dentist and understands how visiting the dentist can be an anxious time, this in mind Kevin always aims to provide comfortable and gentle dentistry.

Outside of work, Kevin loves playing basketball and trying to keep fit at the gym!

Lydia Chew

Dr Lydia Chew

Lydia graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013. Prior to joining Goodna Family Dentist, she has worked in private practice at Ipswich, as well as government dental clinics at the Logan Hospital and Kingston Oral Health Centre.

Lydia has a gentle and caring approach to dentistry. With her good natured and friendly personality, she places a high emphasis on communicating effectively with her patients to ensure that every patient she sees receives the best dental care possible. Lydia is a member of the Australian Dental Association and she keeps up to date with continuing professional development dental courses. Lydia also does volunteer dental work, most recently with the Tzu Chi Foundation, based in Brisbane.

Outside of dentistry, Lydia enjoys playing the piano and stays physically active through various activities such as tennis, swimming and interval training.
